After numerous emails and requests for a frameable print of my popular blog posts: 25 Things I want My Daughter to Know and 25 Things I want My Son to Know – I’ve finally created them! I am so excited! With the help of dRE from Solid Art Collective on Etsy, I have taken the words and a few images from both lists and put them on an 8.5″x11″ print and an 11″x14″ print to be framed, hung, or given as a gift. The prints are simple, classy, and neatly done. Details and pictures below.

Fantastic words for our children! I’d love to give one to my daughter! Each line reinforces what I have been telling my daughter from the time she was very little. But I actually have two favorite lines. They are: “NEVER allow yourself to become someone’s PROPERTY.” and “Wherever you are in life, you can come home. I will be here – ALWAYS.” (would like a silver one)

I laugh every time I read it and think of my 5 year old son. I have stopped asking him if he needs to go potty…I now know his propensity for ‘touching down there’ has nothing to do with the potty anymore!

I would love the 25 Things I Want My Son To Know in Blue! My favorite line is “It’s okay to let go of your penis, it’s not going anywhere.” I laughed so hard when I read this because I grew up in a house of all girls no dad or brothers and now I have a husband and two sons. I Love all of them, esp number 19 and 20 under sons list. #19 is so true, to follow his passion and to never stop. It truely is important for our sons to know this, and that they can do anything. and 20 because well, he is and always will be my son.

I just love the silver Daughter list. My favorite line is all about what a strong handshake means. My father taught me that invaluable skill as a teenager. I’m totally stoked about this giveaway! We would love 25 Things for my daughters. I adore line #4, “Go for it, get dirty! It’s good for you”, kids forget that its okay to get dirty, especially girls! recently, my daughters (fully clothed) went swimming in a huge mud hole across the street! They had so much fun. It was worth throwing all their clothes in the trash. 🙂
I have a daughter (whose favorite color is blue). My favorite lines for her are #3 (Friends are invaluable) and #16 (Try to make the right choices, not the easiest one). Both of these are things I say to her all the time! But the entire list is terrific 🙂
